Two best years ever for int yards. Only needed 14 yards his Jr year to break the record.

I guess meaningful moments in games mean more to me than records. That's not EB's fault he was on some bad teams. Now if he had set the record during a game we won against bama, then I'm sure I 'd remember it.

He should have done it against uga in 09 but it was ruled a fumble

He's one of the most decorated players in UT history and he did it in three years. I don't fault him that the rest of the team couldn't hit the ground with their hat.

That was what I was thinking but couldn't remember for sure. Even that more impressive, to almost break it in your first two years.

Anyone who doesn't think he's one of the greatest vols of all time is crazy.
He was kind of like CP on defense. Once he got his hands on the ball, there was always a decent chance he figured out a way to return it for a TD it seemed.

Remembered that. Went crazy thinking that was the record.

I don't deny for a second he's one of the best ever. Just don't think I put him on my Mt Rushmore.

I think this is actually what I should have said.

Eric Berry was the fifth pick in the NFL draft. He would have stuck out regardless of what team he played on.

If it makes you fell better, I would probably put Holloway on there over Berry.

I guess I wasn't trying to speak on his ability as much as on the way the fans think of him. He was about all there was to be proud of those years so he's got a special spot in folks' memories.

the inscription on the statue should read

"Thank God the old guy finally quit." -bear bryant-

    or

"Everybody thought Neyland had a jinx on us. It was no jinx. He was a better coach, and he had better football players - and I couldn't stand it," -bear bryant-
