And he won't be a blip on the radar. But more choices is always a good thing given the forced-fed bags of shit the two major parties have been/are feeding us.
Have to break the monopoly of keeping other candidates off the debate stage besides republicans and democrats.
They agree on quite a bit. The issue is that's it's on a conflict of interest when the other side does it.
I always cringe at the notion that voting Libertarian is somehow "throwing my vote away". Like continuing to vote for folks who don't come close to doing what I want them to do ISN'T? ** not [itch bay]ing at you, Jay, just venting frustration that Libertarians can't win because the system is rigged to keep the two party system in control. **
That said, I do realize that the LP platform is very easily demogogued and both the GOP and the Democrats have done a hell of a job doing just that...
Despite being closer to a bible-thumper than a pothead, I've voted libertarian many times, and I likely will again this year. I always get pissed at the "throwing your vote away" crowd.
I like a little of both.... Nothing wrong with being a bible thumping pothead, imo. Seriously though, Johnson was going to be my write in if he didn't just announce. I'm not a lockstep libertarian but the LP comes WAY closer to my preference than either of the traditional parties ever thought about.
It isn't throwing away your vote. Voting Republican or libertarian is still strange to me, though. It's like hiring an Amish man to fix your computer.
