I’ve never been to Brentwood, but I’ve lived in two other blue collar enclaves in larger metro areas, Buckhead in Atlanta and Myers Park in Charlotte, so I’m sure I’d like it.

I lived in Franklin and worked in Brentwood for 2 years. All I know is people at MBA were way nicer than either BA or Ravenwood when I attended football games.

Who were these people? What specifically was done to you that pissed you off? Did actual adults associated with BA or Ravenwood mistreat you for no reason or did you encounter a group of rowdy HS teenagers in passing hyped up on a Friday night talking shit to people cheering for a rival Franklin area school? Wilco football games between the big schools in that county have always been intense for HS.

 

Actually I was just a neutral fan because that's where the best game was that night. MBA folks were a lot friendlier. Sorry.

 

What did you do in a previous life to have to live in CT?

Had to live in Louisville, KY one summer for an internship. Perhaps the most bleak and boring city in all of America. Food options were terrible for a city of its size. Just a jungle of wet concrete. The Louisville Slugger factory is a cool way to kill an afternoon, but other than that there's nothing.

 

I don't know, but two years of that hellhole was two too many.

 

Always heard from earlier generations of Nashville growing up that old time Broadway was infamous for its hookers and underground brothels. And how lots of old school country artists found trouble down there over the years. Would be interesting to know how true those stories actually were.
