It's a waste of money to spend lottery money on someone and have to develop them. That's all I am saying. Get rid of the guaranteed contracts/salary and then it's on.

Is it just me or have the draft pools also gotten consistently worse?

Meh. The NBA has a vested interest in letting these guys build rapport win fanbases so it can inherit those fans as guys matriculate.

You're going to have to develop guys out of college, too. If development is so awful, trade the pick for a free agent.

The "baseball way" would be perfect if the NBA would organize the developmental league and actually "develop" players like minor league baseball.

Do more top high school players choose the D-League/Europe route now?

    It's definitely you.

Has music also gotten worse? Should I get off your lawn?
