Was just reading the NCAA wikipedia page. Reading their history and the summary of legal cases... they are not worth redeeming. Destroy them, build something fresh.
The TN/VA response to the NCAA's filing is similar to what we have been posting here. Of course there is financial harm to the athletes and this has been demonstrated and ruled on before, specifically. And that is the entire point of the NCAA's objections.
I would argue it’s damaging to have an athlete wait to get paid because it can all be over with an injury or chronic shoulder, back or knee. Whenever they are eligible for nil is when they should be able to negotiate and receive it. Committing, signing then working at Burger King while you prove your worth for nil $ being used as an example by the ncaa is pretty funny.
So as I get the response we sent back it’s basically, you people are idiots if you think what you are saying is reality. Fair?
Maybe more of, "you know this isn't reality and have testified and submitted evidence of it yourselves in these past cases."
SEC commissioner Greg Sankey: NCAA 'distracted' by NIL-related cases, needs to focus on 'big realities' - Yahoo Sports
I mean, he did start a working group to begin to solve the issues since the NCAA isn't capable. That says a whole lot to me.
Anybody see the Arizona player's dad talk about Alabama tampering, recruiting him even though he never entered the portal?
