I've been to 3 games at LP, a couple of them I thought had really cool atmospheres (the playoff game against Baltimore that they blew at the end, and then against Arizona where VY led the 99 yard game-winning TD drive), and the other was a week 17 snooze-fest againt New England with starters playing a half and whatnot and it sucked.
I enjoyed everything but the loudspeaker c*ck crowing. It's not a typical SEC atmosphere being off-campus, but they had the best host fans I've ever been around (This was in 2007. I've heard their fans have gone to shit more recently with their modicum of success). Yep.
2004 was the best when all of them were talking shit at halftime and then had to slink out silently after we scored 19 TDs in the second half.
I also remember talking all kinds of shit when we were controlling the game against SC in 2003 (at Neyland). Then after 30 minutes of Fulmer Ball (run, run, pass, punt, prevent) the Cocks had gotten back in it and the fans were giving us hell. That just made James Banks's five jillion OT TDs even more sweet. I don't think I could have ever lived that one down if we'd lost.
Montario Hardesty, Eric Berry and Bray's arm are the best things about Tennessee football in the last 7 years
