Lol wut. He attempted 9 passes against P5 opponents at Auburn. Pretty sure all 9 were in garbage time outside a trick play or two. That’s not to say what you said wouldn’t have been true if he had played. By his own admission he didn’t work hard enough while at Auburn and that hindered his opportunities and ultimately was why he left.
in 2 years against sec comp in practice he earned garbage time and threw 9 passes in games, then went to Liberty, played nobody and looked good because defenses were like D2 schools
In fairness to him, he was pretty raw coming out of high school and needed someone to coach him up. That fact made Auburn a horrible destination, Gus Malzahn had his strengths but his ability to develop quarterbacks was quite literally nonexistent.
Titans signing Nuke I dunno what it is about Nashville professional teams and this rearranging deck chairs thing they do, but here we stand
What's you're point? Titan up! Seriously, it could happen, but it will be some sort of miracle improvement in O line play that brings about a run moreso than signing Hopkins.
If it happens, it won't be because of anything apparent right now. That's for sure. This is fan cope.
Hopkins has played in 19 games combined the last two seasons, I don't see why anyone expects much from him.
He's just another in the line of practically washed up receivers they've brought in at the twilight of their career.
Didn't they sign Carl Pickens at the tail end of his career? You got David Givens, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Julio and now Hopkins.
Randy was the worst. I may be misremembering but I don’t think he was as washed as they made him look. They just wouldn’t throw him the ball. I remember finally one game Locker got hurt and rusty smith went in, first pass a bomb in the end zone where he climbed over the defender to snag it that got called back for holding. Never targeted him again. I just remember going to the games and seeing him throw his hands up because he would be open and no one would even look at him.
He had lost a step but he could still go up and over any db out there. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure they didn't want him racking up stats because it was going to cost more
