If there has been a more unquestionably dumber person to have ever served as POTUS than the current mess we have, their name completely escapes me.

What, in the name of your chosen deity, could he possibly be thinking, here?

The Titanic captain remarked of his satisfaction with the orderly way in which many drowned.

I like it. Best way to fight terrorism is to pretend it doesn't exist...until people get blown up. And even then, we should just rally and act like we're unphased.

Acting unphased is one thing. Acting as though the threat is there or dare I say existential is another.

He's long ago surpassed Bush. A feat, in and of itself.

Yeah, this is the only thing he's done to deal with the situation. C'mon, man.

Hillary says we need to be "smart and steady" with this deal, no knee jerk bidness.

That's the kind of leadership Americans are craving. At least the handful of us who are worried about the next 9/11, rather than chillin' at the ballpark not givin' a mother****.

When even allies in the ELU (Europe's Liberal Utopia) question your resolve - as France did, when President Obama failed to take military action against Syria, when they openly defied his "bright line" warning about their use of chemical weapons - and you've got every major candidate, including those of your own Party, who are roundly stumping that they will stop ISIS....what, exactly, do you think that says about the feelings of how it's currently being handled, at home and around the world?

If you think that's not a strong indictment of the guy currently sitting in the chair, and that these comments don't further that already well-entrenched narrative of the softness of this Administration, well, we'll just agree to disagree.

I'm not for bombing people, as a general rule, and would hope to avoid it at nearly all costs. But when the world thinks you too timid, misguided or whatever else is required to prevent your doing it, however clearly necessary, then they fail to take anything else very seriously, or for very long.

These comments only further speak to the strong and pervasive disconnect that exists between this Administration, and those rather basic and universally accepted facts.

Obama is the worst president of my lifetime, but stopping ISIS isn't practical. Once in office practicality has to rule. He's too soft on Muslim terrorists in general, but we need to get out of the policing business. It's expensive and those eurosocialists can provide their own defense.

Be clear. Mess with us or our direct interests and we'll leave little piles of you all over the world. Don't mess with us and we'll leave you alone. Monroe had it right, even in our shrinking world.
