Both of the 2 last seasons, Carolina was a must-win against better teams and he did it.

If he doesn't win a big game this year, he's coaching for his job next year.

Carolina was not a better team than us last year.

In his last 5 seasons (post CMU), he's won one "big game" primarily because of a hail mary and Spurrier losing his mind. Now, it's all part of it, I know, but it's still done very little to inspire confidence that he's suddenly going to turn it up a notch and win these type games at a big clip.

 

May not be Hart making the calls if this season isn't acceptable.

Thats the only one you can point at and say he beat a better team. Last year was even at best. This year UT will field a better team.

 

If anyone thinks 9 is unreasonable (with this roster and schedule) they don't have the guts to ever win big.

 

Bowl Game count as a big game? I thought it was a pretty impressive performance.

 

Exactly. Add in the fact that his last SEC game was him trying like hell to out suck Derek Mason in Nashville (who he has already lost to at home) and I don't have any confidence in him winning many games against equal or better teams.

 

One of the better performances. I think the opponent prevents it from being a big win. Maybe good.

 

They did what they were supposed to do. Finally.

 

Bowl games, other than the biggies, are hit and miss IMO. We throttled them, no doubt, but I do question how much Iowa cared. But, we did show up and take care of business.
