Seems every time we take a step forward in fielding some quality position player, something like this happens. Makes me wonder if we're snakebitten. Hopefully, we got someone who steps up, plays out their mind, and not also gets injured and out for the season.
It is the deepest it's been in a long time, though. They can still roll out O'Brien, Sawyers, Jordan Williams, Owen Williams and Dimarya Mixon. It's been awhile since there were 7 scholarship defensive tackles on the roster. Mosley and Saulsberry are injured, but they're still on scholarship.
I would expect Barnett and Hendrix to play inside some too. They are defensive ends all the way, but they're 270 lb DE's. They are quick enough to disrupt pass plays but would get road graded on rushing downs
