Our defense was terrible that year like 70th in the nation. We sucked against the pass as well as the run. If I remember correctly teams averaged over 400 yards a game.

But then he also recovered a fumble and had in interception on consecutive series.

He caught the fumble on the bounce. That was a cool highlight.

What was the points swing in those three series?

Yeah, I can't remember if we capitalized on either turnover.

    Probably plus seven for LSU.

Did Holliday fumble? I remember Chris Brown scoring on A TD pass from Ainge on the possession right after that fumble.

Funny how after that and 2006 we have a statistically good defense in 2008 without hardly any new personnel and Chavis is a genius again.

I think Brown scored on the TD throw and Lincoln missed a FG of course.

If we don't have the best passing game in America it won't be because we don't have the athletes.

Then he backpedaled to get behind blockers like a punt return.

USC is really the only big time program that's comparable.

Such a playmaker to be wasted on some bad teams.

I'm sure some team in a junk conference (SMU maybe) will pile up better passing stats, but Tennessee, even with just Hunter, Da'Rick, Rivera and Bray and not counting Patterson, will have a fantastic passing attack at times.

Hunter, Rogers, Patterson, Rivera, Lane/Neal, and Bray...

Why even run the ball more than to keep the D honest?
