Our "post whistle effort" is a focus for Butch Jones and the team right now.

He's such a moron. The new hackneyed bullcrap makes him nails on a chalkboard.

Seriously, what does that mean? Why is he our HFC? WHY?

 

Seems like Jack Jones is blossoming into a beast at guard. High praise for him on his offseason approach from our coaches

 

Can you imagine how clever Butch felt when he came up with that one?

 

He was like "I'm really gonna melt the 8th with this one" and then delivered it. So far, he was right.

 

I wouldn't call it a melt.

 

Tennessee has four very good guards in Weisman, Robertson, Boulware and Jones. Charles Mosley isn't too bad either.

I kind of want Jones at center eventually.

 

It would be funny if, against Appy State, there are 4 or 5 flags thrown for late hits

 

Preston Williams is going to be the "breakout star" of 2016

 

Until I see it I refuse to believe we'll throw the ball downfield enough for that to be possible.

 

He'll make a few circus catches this year

 

I just want to see downfield throws so bad. We've got the horses for it and the running game for it to be fairly easy.

 

There's no doubt the talent and ability is there. Just hoping our coaches put him in a position to break out with better play calling. I'm not convinved they can or will at this point. Hoping that changes this season.

 

He was the target on around 98% of throws over 15 yards last year

 

It's funny for as diverse we are on all manner of opinions, we are all in lock step on how we see this program

The only difference is some think talent may overcome the offensive coaching this one year.

As long as Shoop is here, which I don't expect much longer than a year or two, the defense will be national title worthy.
