What did Michigan do on defense this past weekend? Just curious if Florida O was really bad or Michigan is good

 

Florida couldn't do anything. Looked inept to me. Nothing Michigan did.

 

They held Cincinnati to 200 total yards and gave 14 points, 7 of which were on a short field after a muffed punt.

 

I think Michigan had a lot to do with it. Plus UF playing without Callaway and Scarlett didn't help.

 

So it isn't unimaginable that Florida gets a little better at O and can then move on us.

Our defense has done nothing to lead me to believe it is a disruptive, stonewalling or challenging force. It looks like a bending, lets see if the O messes up force.

JMO. Way off the loi. Not much penetration. Gives up big plays both outside and in the air, while rarely dominating the middle...

What is our defense's strength? Where do we hang out hat?

Special teams has been food. Thats it.

They could get a little better, especially if callaway and Scarlett are back. Franks has a lot of natural ability, he's just raw. Their oline against our front seven will likely determine the game.

 

I'm not usually so negative but...

Shoop makes UF's offense look like Tommy Frazier and the Cornhusker's offense of old...

I'm kind of shocked at these games in the 30s. Neither offense is that good. This is much more of a 17-10 type feel game to me.

 

I am not convinced we have a competent defense.

I could see this scenario. Vols get their back broke early (like what Bane does to Batman) and give up.

 

End of the first half against Tech, they were |-| this close to giving up on defense. You could see it in their body language on the field.

 

I am realistic, not hating. We can't stop the run. Why throw more than 6 passes when we can't stop the run? I have seen nothing that tells me that that Florida won't run for 400 plus either.
