I am counting on a superiorly conditioned and coached team with a mentally tough mindset to starkly contrast with what was on the field last year. Were those factors in place last season, the record would have been quite different. So I am looking for a pleasantly surprising result in the form of an upset win.
I can relate to this. I haven't watched a game with my dad since Oregon boatraced us in OR, and incidentally i get to pick up and watch the game with my dad in Charlotte. I just want to enjoy the experience with him as it's been such a rare circumstance to have anything worth celebrating.
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve got two boys (9 & 13) who I fear are starting to think that Tennessee is only awesome on YouTube, and never CBS or ESPN.
Ainge is saying that he’s watched 25 hours of WVU film from last season, and that they’re “severely overrated”. TIFWIW.
I want to believe him, but hasn't he been really, really wrong about these kinds of things over the past few years?
His pre-game prognostications are amongst the least errant aspects of Ainge’s recent past. Maybe that doesn’t help...
I haven’t been this nervous before a game in a long time. I’ll pee a hundred times before this game starts
Definitely hasn’t been my experience. We’ve been outnumbered heavily everywhere I’ve gone in charlotte so far. I’m sitting just outside the stadium now and I clearly see more gold than orange.
