History should be observed. Unfortunately we are seeing the results of hiring off of the Saban tree repeat itself. At least the time we hired from the bammer pool we got a couple of good seasons out of it before the decent into mediocrity, and OV. We got OV.
I think Fulmer should get a chance to make at least one more hire. He walked into an absolute disaster and probably checked all of the boxes that were possible at the time with Pruitt. It was a long shot from the start.
I think he should as well but for that to happen he needs to be out front of the debacle that has become the football program.
If he is, he’s trying to find people to sponsor his buyout because the Athletic Department doesn’t have the money to pay it at this point.
Pruitt knows he's got a million dollar coordinator job the day after he's fired. Hell, everyone knows he does, he's a really good defensive coordinator and has been for years. Rick Barnes, who everyone loves, told Texas media at his firing "I'll have a job tomorrow". If Pruitt is telling people what he'll do if he gets fired, so be it, we already know
We are going to mess around and watch South Carolina hire Freeze. We will never win the SEC East again. We are destined to be the Mississippi State of the East.
Mississippi State was ranked #1 within the last decade. We've got a hill to climb to get on their level.
At this point, I think every team in the SEC not named Vanderbilt and Kentucky has seen some level of success higher than anything we've seen in the last 10-15 years.
