This is an impossible scenario. Like talking about Neyland resurrecting, kicking Butch in the balls, then taking over the reins on the program and leading UT to 6 consecutive undefeated seasons.

Anyway, they were talking about the Tee Martin interview and basically slammed him. Said Butch went all out for him and Tee acted like a jerk the whole time, then called from the airport and said he wasn't interested. Not the story I'd heard and wondered what everyone thought about that.

Exactly. We made him feel like he was getting a courtesy interview.

 

Well that's the story that's being disseminated through the media, most likely by the guy that lied about conducting a legit coaching search prior to hiring Mike DeBord.

 

Then offered him something he'd never take.

I don't want to discourage discussion, just trying to highlight that the scenario discussed is no more likely than Dave Heart bringing back a young Bear Bryant from the dead and making him our coach.

 

I personally appreciate the efforts, but for me that kind of speculation and theory crafting is unhealthy.

 

It's a shame we didn't go after some Cooter earlier.

 

I don't mind discussion about anything, but talking about something that - given the long track record of Butch and the Good Ol' Boys Club sticking together - is as close to fantasy as it gets. And doesn't constitute intelligent football discussion.

 

That, and to add to your point, it wouldn't do much good anyway with this crap offense we run.
