Some public schools it takes forever to raise the money and get approval. Arizona doesn’t have many rich alumns

 

So your position is now that UCF should have been in over Bama and not Ohio State? Why? Undefeated always trumps one loss for you? That’s dumb and you know it. You’re twisting yourself into a pretzel trying to explain why SEC shouldn’t have had two teams in.

 

No my position is good wins outweigh bad losses. I thought that was pretty clear. Your position is one bad loss invalidates an entire season.

 

That is not my position. Many people are smart enough to weigh each case on its merits, you should try it.

Which are the good wins to outweigh two horrendous losses? Not one, but two awful losses.

 

When I saw that news a minute ago I ran right over here to see whether Hat had come out of hiding yet... If it actually happens, my lukewarm affection for Arizona State will kick up a few BTU's....

I'm not as adamant that tOSU shouldn't have been in the playoff. The two lopsided losses were more than they could overcome in the end. To their credit, they had nine conference games (10 if you count the B1GCG) and no FCS opponents on the schedule. So, the committee tells teams to schedule a strong field of opponents but rewards teams that put an auto-win FCS opponent on the weekend before their rivalry game.

 

I ride with droski. If you can't win your division, you shouldn't be in the playoff. None of the rest matters.

If Ohio state scheduled Mercer instead of Oklahoma there is no doubt whatsoever they would have made the playoff.
