Depends on mentality of the guy who is #1. If a summer of uncertainty is going to cause him to work harder, then yes. If knowing he's the guy will make a difference mentally, then name it after spring. That's a pure IMO.
Nor is he as mobile. Much more of the Favre/Cutler, "I have a cannon for an arm and I'm just going to gun it" mentality.
Butch's gem yesterday, when watching the robotic and stiff-legged motion of Dobbs: "Come on, ADobb-O-Tron!"
Ouch. I liked what I saw of Dobbs coming into 2013 and thought Ferg looked identical to Worley. That said, I don't give a shit who plays QB this year as long as it isn't the two losers Chaney recruited.
If it isn't Ferguson, we have problems. He's the only one we don't know enough about to make some very good assumptions about the quality of our offense.
I wish this wasn't true...but you have to call a spade a spade. It looks like all of the eggs are in one basket.
Coach Jones on QBs this morning:""We are balancing repetitions. Justin & Riley have taken more reps and they will continue to. Nate & Josh continue to progress."" And then there were two. In my opinion, the only thing keeping Worley in the race is experience. Hopefully Ferguson will overcome that in the next few months.
