One word to describe South Carolina this season, coach.

"Eh, decent. Decent is a good word."

And the moment someone comes along having equal success as he did, he will fade except for Tide fans. Much like Fulmer will, if we get a coach that duplicates his run.

One of the best characters in the history of the game.

I remember when he retired after 2001. I was honestly deeply depressed by that. College Football needs characters like Spurrier.

A dying breed. The profession is filled with film heads that have no personality now.

He really has no equal and probably never will.

I sometimes wonder how different UT's history would have been if we didn't botch Spurrier's recruitment.

By botch do you mean if we hadn't been running the single wing?

I thought the story was we sent a coach up to Sprurrier's house that was shitfaced. The single wing didn't help though.

Supposedly, the assistant had been drinking and Spurrier's dad ran him off and the single wing made it an easy decision

Yep. Spurrier comes to Tennessee, you may never hear of him again.

Then no Spurrier coaching at Florida and Fulmer dominates the 90's with 4 NC's.

    We need a time machine.

Or Spurrier takes Tennessee over after 1988

Except, Nebraska. Imagine a Tennessee team in place of the UF team Nebraska hung 62 on. We'd have lost by a hundred.

I've watched for 5 minutes and have heard 2 dumbass comments. Some media guy mentioned Nebraska running the wishbone and Muschamp said that unlike traditional SEC offenses, Spurrier didn't run 2 back sets when he came to Florida.
