Remember, Tenny, for the most part, people are good, decent human beings. Don't let the ignorance of some remove that chipper attitude. NYY doesn't like sourpusses.

 

These are people that play pretend for a living, have loads of spare time, and are obsessed with being important.

No they aren't.

 

Do you honestly believe that? Do your neighbors come and steal your stuff? Do random people throw trash at you, hit you, etc?

No. They are too busy with their life hoping you won't do that to them, trying to get along and have a semblance of a happy existence. Most people are genuinely good.

 

Just depends on your definition of 'good'

 

Decent. Not saintly. Not perfect. But good. Most people are not going to steal your car even if they see the keys in it and it is unlocked. Most people are going to wave hello to you with a smile and wish you a well day. Most people will help you lift something into your truck if they see you struggling with it at Home Depot. Most people will not harm you, spit at you, cuss at you for no reason, etc.

Are they having a bad day and in the middle of a divorce? Sure, they will be surly and might get mad faster than normal. But that is not normal.

Will everyone want to be your best friend? Of course not. But when the chips are down, and people are called upon to do what is right, they do it.

Don't let the occasional sociopath and narcissist skew your thinking.
