I met Boyd several years ago at Clemson. I didn't listen to the interview but if it's negative about Tennessee/Kiffin then he's drastically changed his tune.

He didn't. I skipped to the end and he said he still loves UT, loves Fulmer. Said Mike Hamilton told him 2 weeks before Fulmer was fired that he wouldn't fire Fulmer. Said UT is his second favorite school.

    Technically Hamilton didn't lie.

Funny how getting your ass beat by Wyoming in front of 60,000 at home changes things.

So, I'm supposed to care about a guy who didn't come to UT five plus years ago? Sure thing, I'll get right on that.

I'm just shocked an athletic director wouldn't tell a kid the truth about whether or not he's going fire a coach. Shocking.

Pretty sure he was fired before that game.

Not to mention the fact that this said guy was pretty overrated at his best point at Clemson.

    He absolutely was.

That game was a miserable experience.

That's a lie. We sat there and laughed at the absurdity of it for at least half the game. It didn't become miserable until the 4th quarter when we realized we were screwed.

And I still think we laughed at the end.

I don't think you remember it like I do. It felt like a funeral to me.

    This.

The guy I sat next to was telling me all about how Phil would be back on top at another school in 3 years.

I was far more concerned about our coaching search that some pointless game.

I still don't get either Fulmer faction. The people who think he raised the University of Tennessee up from the bare ground with the power of his voice, or the people who think he was an incompetent, slobbering retard. All I know is he had a damn good run and then it was over
