He wasn't wrong with the whole, "You suck. We suck. He sucks. Everything sucks." It was/is definitely like that, and I was/am a part of it. Mainly because everything does suck right now, save recruiting. He might have gone overboard with it for a bit, but it's not as though it was totally without merit.

And when he does try to laugh at himself, he gets hounded. Kinda lame.

The problem you run into, though, is that even if you are attempting self-depricating humor, you suck at it. You have set a precedent. Hard to deviate from the path you have set.

I'm seriously considering going.

I mean, perennial powers from the big 10 and sec fighting it out in a historic bowl game. It's in January, too, and January bowl games are always better, and I can see Butch kick off a new epoch of Tennessee football.

Also, I have spent a lot of New Years in Hopkinsville, and they typically suck.
