    Meh, pretty normal with her family. They are transplant Midwesterners.

    BIL family are natives. They cook good stuff. Havent even seen them this trip.

    Wife grew up on long island and her neighbors were hardcore Italians. She said their thanksgivings were to die for. You almost got an entire lasanga to yourself.

    I've never done a whole gator, but plenty of bite sized pieces different ways

    This seems as good a place as any to ask this.

    Does anyone else remember the cookies that were sold around the holidays that came in a plain white box with a cellophane top? It had 9 or so different kinds of cookies (sugar, chocolate chip, a couple with sprinkles, a pink cookie, etc.). My grandparents and my wife's grandparents always had them around Christmas, but they've all passed away and I haven't seen these in a couple of years.
