I can eat 25 pounds of a honey baked ham. We don't have one down here, so of course when I get some, I pick the bone clean
We always have ham. Sometimes we have ham and turkey. My father in law used to set up a fryer and we would all fry our own. Some would do Cajun, some would inject etc. Honey Baked is awesome. But we’ll have it at Christmas at his house. Thought I would swap up a little. Country ham is completely different. My wife is asking for Turkey of some kind but I’m not doing both I don’t think.
I honestly could do without turkey or ham at thanksgiving. Give me the dressing, sweet potato casserole, squash casserole and pecan pie and I’m all good.
Last year I did a standing rib roast. It was awesome but we didn’t have the whole family coming over. Just a couple of extras. Would take several rib roasts to feed my crowd this year.
We always do both ham and turkey, but I have little to do with it. I just do what I am told once things are in process.
If she keeps messing with me I’m going to buy the turkey and ham combo at Honey Baked and say to heck with it.
I disagree. I will eat dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans, turkey and gravy, and pumpkin pie anytime anywhere.
