Hell, I'm 30 and still very much remember an era where reading my weekly SI subscription cover to cover was just part of my routine. Middle school me thought the VOLS being on the front cover of SI blocking a punt for a TD in Athens was the coolest thing ever.

 

Oh man that was sophomore year (also loved it though)

Elle McPherson was the last one I bothered to notice, then I just forgot about it and SI in general.

I was a junior in college when that issue came out

 

Swimsuit edition accounted for 7% of SI revenue and was yearly the highest selling edition of any kind each year from Time, Inc.

 

I was in that end zone in Athens that night. Got our ass kicked in the first half; stormed back to win big over an undefeated UGA. It was glorious.

 

I was in the nose bleeds, expecting to have to fight my way to the truck

 

I was there too. I had to chase a guy down and reclaim my digital camera after he stole it.

 

I was there as well and thought we were fine until my uncle decided to turn into Earl Campbell running over co-eds leaving. A little brouhaha in Athens occurred after that.

 

I hate Athens, Georgia

 

I don’t need to go back. Leaving it on that note is just fine.

 

I think it’s a great place to be a college student if you’re a rich douche and also a massive shithole

 

Welp, I'm poor white trash that's made a little money

 

I've enjoyed going to basketball and baseball games at UGA (although there were a couple of UGA baseball fans who were absolute trash), but I don't think I'll ever go to another football game there.
