26" barrel, and I gotta drive to Stuttgart? I think I can get one in through BPS: http://www.basspro.com/shop/en/beretta-a400-lite-synthetic-semi-auto-shotgun 28" black. I've never shot a 3 1/2 so that's fine. But is that the shotgun I should buy? I've got a old 390 Walmart special that is heavy as hell. How does the 400 compare?
So what do I need to look for in a duck gun? What about turkey? My local gun shop is going out of business, and I have no idea. The few times I've been I carried a 60s vintage Browning superposed.
I've got a maxus and a new breed A5. I like them both. I also have a Nova pump that's rough looking but works fine. My duck guns have to be reliable and easy to clean because I'm going to cycle 200 or so shells through them. The wichester super x's are good ones too. I've got an old browning 10 gauge bps I turkey hunt with.
Pump, mainly bc I am used to them. OU would be alright, too. I shoot an old model 12 at doves and woodies and such, and I quail hunt and shoot skeet with another superposed OU. I like both very much, but I've heard the new heavy shot can pit older steel barrels made for lead. Besides, it's a reason to go gun shopping.
Yea, I wouldn't shoot steel in those. Nova is a good turkey gun. I'm not sure about duck hunting, never taken one out. I've got an old 870, back when Remington made a decent shotgun that I like. Winchester pumps are pretty solid, too. Feel good at least.
