And I hope that I’m wrong, but it seems like the team that ties it up in the dying moments always wins in overtime. And the usually do it pretty early in OT.

Well that kind of sucked.

 

The all time regular season win record setting team has never gone on to win the championship in any of the 4 major North American professional sports.

 

Boston collectively has used up about 10 lifetimes of good sports fortune since the Patriots won their first one so I don’t feel sorry for them one bit when something like this happens haha

 

Pretty shocking. Hardest tournament.

Starting when? The 1975-76 Canadiens won The Cup after beating the record set by the 70-71 Bruins. Then the 76-77 Canadiens team won The Cup again after beating their own record from the year before (and previous all-time best season). And that's just the first two teams I looked up.
