I have to wonder if the Leo Lewis situation may eventually put UF in a position where they have to fire Mullen for cause.

 

He won't sniff the east ever.

Yeah you’re right, Dan Mullen, Kirby Smart, and Will Muschamp. Murderers row right there.

 

No it isn’t. There isn’t a damn thing I can do about it.

Maybe we’ll at least get entertained for a few years and straighten out the real problems.

 

Its also realistic. We're not landing a grandslam hire at this point.

I think the guy's a goof, but its a positive turn in the trajectory of the program.

Our last 3 hires have been Kiffin (bright, but unproven), Dooley (loser, coming off a 4-8 season), and Butch (never coached in a P5, never won a damn thing). Mike Leach is easily the best and most proven hire we've made in a long time.

 

And the circus gets circusier.

Gimmick hire for a gimmick football program.

And we’ve been saying - repeatedly - that just being better than butch or dooley is a stupid comparison. This is apathy setting in. Currie should have been allowed to make this deal, and all it does is continue the status quo.

Will reserve judgement until staff is announced.
