Third Saturday in October

Feeling more confident about this one than I have since I was a kid.

A lot of praise being heaped on Hooker and the receivers, and rightfully so. But to compete with the big boys in this league you have to win at the LOS, and the vols are really good in the trenches right now.

Vols might not win Saturday, but they will not get pushed around.

 

Would really have helped if Gibbs wasn’t there. He is Kamara 2. Cutbacks and footwork is insane.

 

People are out there talking about about "Bama Hate Week," when I have been living a "Bama Hate Life." I live in a "Bama Hate Universe." This isn't a week. This is every minute of every day and every night, as well as civil twilight.

 

My wife got mad at me years ago when we were driving through Alabama to head to Destin with the kids and I made sure they understood how shitty the whole state was and that Alabama sucks.

But I think I was doing God's work and she came around as they got older.

 

Vols by 11. Tillman will show out. Ghost of Gualden double birds delivered for free, and in spades.

 

My son has started buttering up to my mom to try to get her to buy us Bama tickets.

I am so happy for fans under 30 who have never been excited into the third week of October in their memory.

 

He's already told me to use college money because this game is more important than college.

Sucks Bama dropped. If we are going to pull this off might as well be against #1.

I don’t think we would go to #1 with a win, but we’d probably get some first place votes.

Yep, confirmed. Hard to imagine they wouldn’t have, although this is one of three top 15 matchups this week, so I guess they could’ve talked themselves into Michigan.

I'm sorry, I was not prepared for this situation. I prepared myself for 3-2. 2-3. Maybe 4-1. I don't think I ever contemplated 5-0. Even as I expected us to give LSU both barrels and thought we could win, I had compartmentalized that from the season somehow. And I never thought I would dare think we had a shot against Bama.

But if I said I expected Young to heal up to 100% and put on a Heisman performance on Saturday... I'd be lying. I think we have house money. I think we are able to let it all hang out on Saturday and see what's up.
