1. [uck fay] you for putting this thought in my head. 2. [uck fay] you for posting it in the TSIO thread. 3. [uck fay] you.
We still complaining about his bonus or raise that put him 11th highest paid in SEC? Heup is ours, unless we decide not to pay him. Not sure he’s a money chaser, but we have to pay him
I thought it was premature, but if he finishes this year like I think he will, just give him the keys to the 1st Tennessee vaults.
That’s good, I’d hate to lose him. It’s just that living in the area it appears that’s what the locals would welcome.
Thought so too, but only because we’ve been burned on extensions before by idiot ADs. Turns out Danny White knows what he’s doing.
Bob Stoops had a decision to make, he fired Heupel, that led to Lincoln Riley. Riley was at ECU and wanted out, he had made contact with Tennessee before Stoops offered. Butch hired DeBord instead. Butch hires Riley, Heupel may still be at Oklahoma
And it was the defense that under achieved that year. So Heupel lost his job so Mike Stoops could keep his. So you can see him being a bit bitter. Heupel seems genuinely impressed with the fan support here. You don’t inherit an underperforming program and year 2 have just about the best game atmosphere period anywhere. Kiffin knows that. Unless Heupel wants to try the pros there is nothing for him to leave for. He was only at Ok 2 years. He’s from like South Dakota or something (I don’t recall) so it isn’t anymore home than Knoxville. It’s South Dakota
Gonna go ahead and predict a point spread of Alabama -11. If it indeed comes in under 14, that will be the shortest line for an Alabama game against anyone other than Georgia since they were favored by 7.5 against Michigan in the Citrus Bowl following the 2019 season.
