I wish I could transport 2011 tenny to now just to read your posts in 2020 about clemson. and then watch him give you a Ron Swanson stare.
Burrow’s season might rival Barry Sanders’s as best ever. All-time standings: T-3 yards: 5671 1st in Pass TDs: 60 2nd in completion %: 76.3, (Was at 77.6 before the game. Record is 76.7) 8th in yards per attempt: 10.8 1st in QB rating: 202.5 (His NFL QB rating would be a 144.1 for the season) Tacked on 369 yards rushing and 5 rush TDs. 6056 (He also had 16 receiving yards) total yards and 65 TDs. Only 6 interceptions. 0 INT in the last 5 games.
Undeniably the best single season ever, statistically. Will be fun to watch Yaw-Yaw repeat next year.
Barry Sanders' record was achieved in 11 games - could/should be 12 but has a game just not count; which, if (easily) added in would make the record even more insurmountable since he got 5 TDs and 222 yards in that bowl - and no one has touched his records in 30 years+. For both TDs and yards. He set the career mark for 300 yard games, and did it in one season. Wouldn't call Burrow's undeniably the best statistical season ever. Arguably, yes.
