With Briles being a hot commodity, why hasn't anyone picked him up yet or if someone has, why haven't they announced? Theses searches are hard to figure out.
I just haven’t seen that being reported anywhere. It’s probably accurate though. The kind of offense Briles runs seems like it would be a difficult fit with the defense Pruitt wants to play.
To my knowledge, the only interest in him come from UT and FSU. Good Question. I know this one has been odd and I think the majority of information that has been released by the UT "media" types has been a lot more guessing than normal. Im gonna ride with Matthews on this one. He has an in that he hasn't had in awhile. Its hard to imagine that the detailed oriented Pruitt is as clueless as it appears. Hope.
Outside looking in it looks like a cluster[uck fay]. He pulls a guy like Chip Long from Notre Dame or Chaney from UGA or Canada or McClendon, there's absolutely no reason to [itch bay].
I think he liked McClendon as a recruiter and position coach. Im not sure he's ready to ride with him as the OC. JMO.
And from here it looks like business as usual from a UT hiring history. Maybe Im giving Pruitt too much credit, but if he's just dragging his butt or can't get a yes because he wasn't prepared to fill the spot for weeks that would surprise me.
