Well, the Kiffin tenure at Southern Cal seemingly is on the way to being over. It's a very bad sign when the home crowd is chanting "Fire Kiffin" at the end of the game tonight.

Somewhere, Al Davis is laughing his ass off at the chant.

But, we would be winning championships with him if he stayed in the SEC. Sayanora, Lexus Smasher!

(Will probably eat crow when they rebound and run the table.)

It is weird to think how successful he was likely to be at Tennessee, and how things have diverged since then. Maybe he hurt himself just as much as he hurt UT.

I doubt he would have been successful here, in hindsight. His greatest game was a loss by a man-boob to Alabama. Shit like that seems to define him. He's the college football Macbeth, imo.

His QB recruiting has been disastrous. Many others haven't lived up, but QB has been awful.

Fair point, but I've never lost by a boob to Alabama or crashed a car while drunk and blamed the dealership.

I think we can officially put a wrap on that notion.

I was actually humming this incredible song while reading about Kiffin. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but still insisting he would've been successful here is based off of nothing he has proven outside of a game or two in his entire career.

It just seems to me like he's looking for the next Carson Palmer, and he completely ignores everyone else. He definitely has a prototype QB, and I'm not sure the talent is there in the trenches and running backs to support them. Kessler is a different kind, but he got pulled real quick. I think Marquise Lee is a bit overrated as well.

Whether he would or would not is debatable, but I tend to agree. A narcissistic [Penis] is not likely to succeed.

absolutely. Just saying those that still guarantee his hypothetical success should probably back of that stance a little. Possible success? Sure. Probable? His track record says no.

Need to wait and see how he does in the WAC first.
