Man tough crowd...if it helps I will be taunted tomorrow by countless mexican kids. They will likely be taking flags to school.

    Jewbaccah -

As you know, we are about as unintruding as possible around here, but racism of any sort, for any reason - no matter how unintentional or jokingly presented - is neither allowed, nor will be tolerated.

Just as we would unwaveringly oppose antisemitism, and with equal vigor.

Please don't violate this, one of our few rules, again.

Not cool, Jewbacca. That's like the only rule we have.

I need some clarification because this may be important for future reference.

Does it count as racism if you're referring to the team and fans instead of the race or culture?

Would the following statements be considered racist?

    1. "I wish those ******* Mexicans would stop chanting 'Osama' during our national anthem."
    2. "Those ******** are real ***** for throwing urine at our players"

No racial epithets is a good rule of thumb.

    What about anti Canadian remarks?

I think Canadian remarks are okay, as they're mostly harmless. And I'm half Canadian, so take it for what it is worth.

Alexi Lalas calls this the best international rivalry in soccer.

    The US is 0-23-1.

EDIT: That's in Mexico I believe.

Would mentioning NYY's unfaltering love of Alabama black snake violate this rule?

It's a great rivalry. We have had some big moments against them.

Makes me feel a lot better. Now anytime we disagree I just know it's the Canadian in him and he can't help it.
