If Fox News is by and far the #1 news outlet, doesn't that by definition make them "mainstream"? Where are the cries of foul of their unashamed biases from the Right that want "straight up news"?
Deregulation, anti-union, more tax cuts for the upper 1%, abortion, gay marriage, Social Security, Medicare, education. Do I need to go on?
More tax cuts for the 1%? Huh? So you like Obamacare completely gutting Medicare to fund itself? And I can make the EXACT same argument that no Evangelical should ever vote for Obama. So try me.
I don't think that anyone called your ability to formulate your own beliefs, and to assign them a weight of significance in a hierarchical scale into question. In fact, you are absolutely correct in the fact that you can use whatever double-standard you choose to do so. But. it's not merely a finding that you are using it, but a fact. Just pointing that out, for future use.
Fair point. My comment assumed that most conservatives naturally exclude Fox News from their definition of "mainstream media", but admittedly, its often a dynamic definition.
I wasn't aware it was a competition. I was stating my views. If yours, are different, then freedom is working.
What Regulations are you concerned with him getting rid of? Top 1% pays close to 40% of all Income taxes. How is that fair? What do you like about Unions? What don't you like about his Social Security plan? What is your concern over his stand on Medicare? You like what Obama is doing with Medicare funding? I also don't like his stance on abortion and gay marriage.
That's fine. I just think it's odd that a person voting by religious principles should not be able to vote for a Mormon in good conscious but would be able to vote for someone who is at best IMO, a humanist of the highest order, regardless of what he says.
No changes if you are 55 or older. Make our own decison if we are younger. Personal choice; sounds terrible.
We all know the political landscape is horrific these days. It doesn't take bias to point out what a joke it has become. Or always was?
