We put up good numbers but also due to the system went times were we didn’t get them touches due to being hell bent on running the offense so fast and not substituting. I’m not saying we should have lined up in the I but why not put Sampson at a slot and force feed him some screens or put multiple backs in and use motion and misdirection with play action.
With Milton’s struggles and wr depth and not getting Sampson touches in big games, we shoulda tried some 2 back stuff. Hit them up the middle or flats and maybe other DCs would be clueless about stopping the flat
I know the whole “if it hits you in the hands you should catch it” rule, but a qb with some touch won’t be a bad thing for helping the drops. Catching a slant five inches off the ground moving 100mph isn’t exactly easy
1 year at Utah State 2 years at Mizzou 3 years at UCF (and year 3 wasn’t good, albeit during the Covid situation) Year 4 is a bit of uncharted territory for Heupel. Hopefully he gets back on the Year 2 track.
Been a rough ending but still, the season ends too quick. I'm hoping we finish strong and we get things set up for Nico going forward.
My warm up game is HS playoffs. Going to watch Auburn’s new QB against Braylen Russell that picked Arky over us. That QB is really good. Best HS QB I have ever seen.
Word is they are considering rolling with Pittman. Braylen is big. 6’2 225 in HS at RB is a hoss. But he hits the hole slow. I saw Michael Dyer play in HS and Madre Hill. They were explosive and better IMO. I don’t know that Braylen is as good as what we have but I don’t recall seeing Keith play. He gets tackled at the line a lot. But he is a load when he gets moving. And has a nasty steak. Has a few unsportsmanlike penalties. If someone runs their mouth he won’t put up with it.
Jeez Walker White is really good. And his receivers are all like 5’10 except 1 lanky dude. Accurate as hell. Tonight QB > RB although Braylen played his very best game. I need to see some Nico tomorrow to cleanse the pallet.
