Let's get some numbers - How many do you reasonably expect? What is the number that will make you start up the Doomsday clock? What is the number that would make you get a Heupel tattoo tramp stamp?
8 seems reasonable. 6 or less and I’ll help heupel pack his things. 11 and tramp stamp me up baby. (not including the bowl game)
I think 9 is reasonable if the team stays healthy. Hooker or Banks or Small get hurt, this team isn't good.
8 is reasonable. 6 or less, might as well blow it up. I am and will remain unadorned with ink or jewelry.
9 7 unless rash of injuries to key people 10 I think this is a high floor, moderately high ceiling team/schedule. But not much proven depth yet.
September will tell us everything. 2-2 or worse, and we are likely in burn it down territory. 3-1 is on track for 8 wins. 4-0, it could change the program.
6-6 would be real disappointing to me 7-5, idk, depends on how it comes about 8-4 would be pretty good imo, anything above is gravy to win 9 we'd have to basically win every toss-up and i don't know if that's reasonable. i'll believe we beat Florida when it's done.
I won't be able to top last years perfect season, but here is my guess: Ball State W Pitt W Akron W Florida W LSU W Bama L UT-Martin W UK W UGA L Missou W USCjr L ( we are tired and will just lose a weird away game in the SEC) Vandy hahaha W 9-3 We go 7-5 again and lose another bowl game, Heupel can gtfo. Beat Bama and send Saban into retirement, get the ink and needles ready.
I have seen more Vandy losses in my lifetime than any Volunteer should ever have to see. I better not see anymore. Period. Cafego rules. There were zero acceptable excuses for the last 3 dipshits (who can all kiss my azz) and there are zero for Heuple.
Would be great to see them knock off Alabama or Georgia. You can’t expect it to happen but it’s also not out of the realm of possibility at all.
I could be wrong, but I "think" Heuple is trying to get the Boyz in Orange to "Expect to Win" rather than "Hope to Win". Whereas, the previous "leaders" were operating under a "Hope not to Lose" model.
