If he gets an OC he can trust, he'll be fine as a figurehead. Aranda is a defensive genius and seems content as a DC. He has figured out to let his assistants go do their jobs.
As the guy who has watched more LSU football than all of you the last 15 years, Orgeron has learned from his mistakes and continually has improved as a head coach. He's not Saban/Dabo, but he's a lot better than people give him credit for as a head man.
Also remember LSU lost to Troy 2 years ago. And it was played out very similarly to Saturday where they just got their asses handed to them most of the night.
As much as I hate the way GA ST played out, and everything about it, I will accept it for the time being if it means we are moving in the right direction. The only problem is that I don't see that yet. JJ getting all up in everyone's face in encouraging, but I'm going to reserve full judgment until after the BYU game. But if we have to lose a bad game to play better and get back on track, then so be it.
He's got to win 7 or 8 regular season games for me. Shit games happen, so be it, but they shouldn't happen 3 times in a row. They have, it needs to stop.
I am actually going to pay attention to that game simply to see it possibly happen. I bet it starts a shit storm.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Furman win, GSU will come in shit talking and confident and get their doors blown off.
That pisses me off more than anything. That deserves an immediate benching until you decide you want to make amends.
Yeah surely the defense practices with two whistles. First one kills the play. By the time the second one goes off, everyone on defense better be at the ball or there's hell to pay.
