I'm in until he shows me he can't get it done. Much better hire than the last two coaches because it was obvious before they took the podium that they were frauds. I see no value in wallowing around here trying to find every reason as to why he will fail. My biggest hope for the first year besides the w/l record is to see tough football players on the field again. We've been a squad of padded up [ussies pay] for 10 years. Hopefully that changes.
I don't see how it can't change. Pruitt doesn't strike me as the type to tolerate soft, squishy players on his roster. I don't think it'll be an overnight transformation but by year 3, if we aren't in the mix for the SEC, I'll revisit my initial support of the hire...
Please.... I'm going to straight. I don't care for the hire 1. because he's a bammmer through and through 2. He's comes across as a more unstable Will Muschamp and generally not very smart to me 3. He actually wants to bring in people like Hugh Freeze 4.The mere suggestion that he coaches bama a through the playoffs pisses me off. We have an early signing period now. Either stay at bama a or come to UT. Can't serve 2 masters. Given he has already asked to remain at bama through the playoffs (with a new early signing period) and has already publicly expressed interest in bringing in Hugh Freeze gives credence to the argument he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, at best and would be a violation risk at worst. I'll think of more later. I've got hovercrafts to build.
He's got 3 years. If he's not threatening to win anything by then, he needs to go quickly. I'm hoping Butch and Dooley has taught this to our fans, but I still have my doubts.
yeah maybe so and I hope the new OC doesn't require so much of the qb to make them look robotic. I just don't see the pocket presence or game feel from Dormady or JG. Actually see it in McBride a little. JG seems like a drama queen to me. Hope i'm wrong.
The Alabama ties mean nothing to me. At all. He's football smart, which is all I care about. I guarantee you there are a number of schools looking in to how they can employ Hugh Freeze. I agree on the playoff though, we need him building a staff and recruiting for UT, not trying to help the enemy any more.
