A defense today could face a wishbone option offense this week then face a 5-wide empty set the next. Hell, they could face those two in the same game. Football is a game of chess. With the season starting tomorrow, I'm gonna temporarily suppress the version of me who is wildly optimistic with his predictions because it makes him feel good and so that's what he does, and replace him with a version who has a gun pointed to his head by a crazy man who also happens to be a time traveler and has the 2016 CFB almanac in his hands and will spare my life if I guess our record exactly.

I'll go with 2 losses. I find the TAMU game to be the most difficult game to win -- I don't know the last time we've won on the road against an SEC West opponent. The other one will probably come among UGA, UF, or Alabama.
