I actually felt a little sorry for Ryan and crew as they were presenting yesterday. This is what you want to present as the result of several years hard work? Seriously? At best we're looking at a product equally flawed as the ACA, but quite possibly inferior. There is absolutely nothing easy about this task, but these politicians do themselves a great disservice by eschewing honest constructive criticism and collaboration for the far easier task of trashing the other side's product while making grandiose claims about their own. And when the time comes to reveal this superior solution it is unsurprisingly nothing of the sort. The sad thing about all this is we'll probably see a repeat performance with the roles reversed. Because the needs of constituents matter little; partisan politics is the really important shit.
