Which is, I believe, the salient point. The decision making in the video, on both sides, is consistent with what one would expect from folks of that age.
i didn't grow up in the roughest area myself, but where i'm from things would have been well under way before the slapped cup hit the floor. the slow simmer-to-boil scenario would have been skipped entirely.

There's a lot of posturing these days. A big part of the problem I see in that video is that you have two groups with very different experiences and backgrounds regarding when the time for talk is over and the time for action begins.
agreed. i think the eventual punchers were getting even more frustrated because the country club boys weren't fighting back as much as they assumed they would.
