    It was pretty good.

The only part I played in it was the consumption tho.

Can anyone remind me as to who / what the ACA helped, exactly, if any?

    And at what cost?

less competition and a huge government agency for starters.

We actually have a new agency which will be one of the largest in our government and the IRS had to build an entire new department to deal with the new tax. In bureaucracy alone, we've driven up the cost of care.

There is no medical system that solves all of the problems. This one exacerbated the vast majority of them.

We've proven to ourselves for decades now that free lunch is a long term problem. This is more free lunch, regardless of the intentions.

then your insurance cost is probably up somewhere along the lines of 50%.

Thankfully, the world runs on good intentions. Particularly in financial matters.

I'm sure that if we wait just a moment, one of the resident left-wingers will be kind enough to come in and 'splain it all to us.

Hell, just last week, VT53 offered his solution to the problem of immigration by suggesting elaborate ceremonies whereby illegal immigrants would pinky-promises to obey the law of the land (except for the ones they broke in entering illegally....those laws don't count).

I'm sure that there is a reasonable explanation, and I cannot wait to hear it.

I'm normally not a tin foil hat kind of guy,but I do buy into the belief that was their plan all along. Quotes from high ranking democratic officials over the past year have only reinforced that opinion.
