They’re incredibly overpriced. I wouldn’t buy one to be honest. There’s plenty of campers that offer the same amenities, with more space inside, for a fraction of the price.

 

Yeah, I get that. I've already told him I'll need to be convinced. I'm not sure I want to maintain a home base in FL, but don't feel excited about anywhere else. We love CA wine country, but cost is a likely dealbreaker.

All that said, the moving home would not be primary residence but more a domestic vacation deal.

 

Ha, yep, it seems he's figured that out. Has been looking at other travel trailers/5th wheels with much more bang for the buck.

 

I joke that I've got a retirement house in Des Arc, Arkansas. I took the whole family down there duck hunting, my wife decided we're taking up fly fishing the little red and crappie fishing the white river.

 

I've remodeled a few for musicians...they're a pain in the ass to work on and over priced

 

Yep. Slide outs in particular are crucial to being comfortable and I personally wouldn’t buy one without at least one. It makes such a huge difference.

We got a travel trailer October before last, so right before the Pandemic, and had a blast using it last year.

 

The only way I’d buy one is if I could get an old one for cheap and do all the work on it myself, which, I have no abilities required to do that

 

My Wife want to buy one of those Mercedes Camper Vans (not as pricey as the name implies) and do some traveling.

 

I would recommend a pull behind here as well, unless y’all are big into outdoor activities and would only use it as a place to sleep and maybe prep some meals.

But, I do like them, a lot in fact. And think they are really nice.

 

How do you feel about it? Who knows, could be a Dooz/VolDad/gcb meet up down the road.
