On a brighter note, I had a pretty good day today in that I got to lead singing at church. I stood in the same place my grandfather and several uncles and cousins have stood doing what they had done before. It's not the first time, but it doesn't happen often when you're the third alternate to that position.

I remember when we were in Tech school, the Vietnam Nam pilot trainees would crash their planes in the swamps around Biloxi, the poor single grunts in the barracks would get called out to do swamp search. Us married grunts living off base were not called. We were happy.

Welp. Finally happened. My youngest son is on a date tonight. Oldest son still hasn't even talked about girls yet, but youngest said he is tired of sitting on the sidelines.

A cohort of online folks claimed today is the rapture. They're still here, and I am anxiously awaiting word on an explanation for that.
