Well, there was that time that guy randomly stabbed a homeless man with rebar and the United Steel Workers kept him out of jail-- wait no, that never happened either. Some public unions are ridiculously strong. Police unions are one of them. It's flat out terrifying how much weight some of them weld.

 

If I did that, I'd be arrested. I'd beg to let them just fire me.

 

There’s enough sexual interactions between teachers and students that would rival the Catholic Church if it ever broke and I can assure you a lot of the looking the other way on the abuse is due to the Union.
