I was trying to keep the tax angle out of this. Let's not go there.

Cincinatti, and the entire state of Ohio, is a dog shit cesspool.

This is one of the few times taking a California job purely based on location would make sense. But there are very few locations that wouldn’t be a massive upgrade over that garbage state.

usc is a great job. live in manhattan beach, no real competition for recruits, even the bad coaches have top 5 classes. fanbase is beaten down but rich and easy road to the CFP.

Then can you explain the mass exodus by people of means once permanent remote work became more viable, so that location and vocation weren’t so closely intertwined anymore? I’ll hang up and listen.

i've met exactly one person who has moved because they didn't like it here. one. everyone else moves because they can't afford it.

Lol, it’s mainly the tech sector, who are definitely well off. People lived there because they offered the best jobs for that industry. Now that you don’t actually have to go in office anymore for a lot of them, people are getting the [uck fay] out.

This is a very different vibe than the "come to cal-ee-forn-ya" Arnold ads, you are laying out here. "Losers can't afford to live. California."

You’re either gonna be homeless or generationally wealthy. No in between.

no it's not mainly the tech sector. where's your evidence? why isn't real estate in silicon valley dropping like a rock rather than going to new highs every month?

Does Saban really do that or was that just a weird joke that fell into awkward land?
