I've said it before and I'll say it again. Wisconsiners are just misplaced southern people who talk funny. They love football, fried foods, and beer. They could join the SEC and be a cultural fit.

 

Wisconsin summers are incredible.

 

Jim Leonhard is the interim. I wouldn’t be at all shocked if he gets the job permanently after the season. If they show some life under him.

 

Wisconsin is a fantastic academic school and has an absolutely beautiful campus, but I don't know why a football coach would give a shit about either of those things. The one bonus is Madison is usually considered one of the most livable towns in American, but it's [uck fay]ing cooooold.

 

Yes, somewhat, but Madison isn't anything like SEC towns, at all. Culturally, it's way more Cal-Berkeley than, say, Athens or Auburn.

I don't see why they wouldn't give him a shot if he does well, he's been a coach that gets mentioned for a lot of jobs

 

Not like he's unproven either - he's been the DC there for 5 years. And was a great player (admittedly not an indicator of coaching prowess, but doesn't hurt).

Rutgers has lost 20 (TWENTY) consecutive home conference games. If Nebraska pushes that streak to 21, I’m not sure Schiano will notch a single conference victory on his home field before he’s ultimately fired.
