One of the biggest mistakes on Saturday IMO was not coming after Rattler early and often. He should have been lit up a few times those first few series. They let him get into a rhythm and he never got out of it.
Banks took to Twitter earlier this afternoon, posting that he missed a Monday practice due to personal reasons, but was excited to be back on the field with his brothers this Saturday. B Interesting to note that that tweet has already been deleted.
Heup seems to be handling some issues pretty well. Protecting his players, etc. when there’s obviously something going on. anxious to see how we play Saturday.
It just kills me when young guys have these kind of self-destructive meltdowns. Banks, my guy, whatever opportunities are out there, there were more before this episode. It can't be worth it.
Some people, sadly, have no concept of time preference cause/effect. They live in the moment and act without any thought of future impact.
My current take: This defense was playing at the top of their potential (given coaching) most of the year. The SEC is like the NFL lite. If you aren't completely prepared/up for a game, you are going to get your ass handed to you unless you are Bama/UGA talented. We simply overlooked them. 3* defenses cannot afford to overlook anyone or they get run out of the building. This is the William of Ockham approved answer.
My employer is probably happy we lost. Feels like I've been more productive these past 2 days than I have been in weeks.
I love how he looks straight at the floor when saying "...there were a lot of other people interested in hiring..".
And yet this clown's team beat the shit out of us this year when we had everything to play for. College football is such a wild and unpredictable sport.
