    1. They have the best Defense in the league
    2. They have really good running backs
    3. This is year 2 for their OC, Harsin, so I have every reason to believe that his system is fully implemented and I believe him to be a competent OC.
    4. Texas has better players than the rest of the teams in the league.
    5. RG3 plays for the Redskins now
    6. K-State's roster is comprised largely of caucasians
    7. People fellate WVU because of that bowl win, but they were average last year in the Big East.
    8. Landry Jones remains bad at the game of football
    9. Justin Blackmon graduated.
    10. I think Texas will settle on the Ash kid at QB, and I think he is at least competent. Which makes him better than Landry Jones, who, as we have already established, is a poor man's John Parker Wilson on his best day.

    Did I just stop this thread dead in its tracks?

    Please pretty please tell me y'all already knew that Landry Jones sucked.

    Landry Jones sucked. Balls deep... I guess he lacks the gag reflex.

    I'm not seeing it. Over 12000 career passing yards, 93 TDs to 41 INTs.

    Compared to my NCAA #'s, that's garbage.

    I thought you and I talked about stats being meaningless without context?

    If you can't see from the eyeball test that Landry Jones is mediocre, then don't pursue a career as an NFL scout.

    Whats the context that makes him suck with those numbers?

    Oklahoma's system.

    I could put up decent numbers running that offense.

    A QB with actual talent will throw 88 TDs witih only 16 INTs in that system.

    Landry Jones will throw 93 to 41.

    There you have it...context.

    You're 5'2'' 130 lbs. You couldn't put up 50 yds in a Mike Leach system.

    I"m 5'6" 144*, [penis]. Anyway, I move well and can throw a football 6 or more yards. Thus, I would be a heisman contender in OU's offense.

    *this was yesterday...i'm usually a touch lighter.

    Some good quarterbacks have been through OU's system and his numbers compare very well to the others. Efficiency, completion %, etc.

    he has a good arm and hits open targets. That's far more than you can say for the vast majority of div 1a qbs. I witnessed first hand texas in the holiday bowl. Neither of texas' qbs showed the ability to even hit wide open targets. I assure you that victory had far more to do with cal's offense and qb laying a massive turd. Texas' dline was unbelievable, but oklahoma is clearly superior.

    88/16 == 5.5
    93/41 == 2.26

    The 5.5 is Bradford. And Oklahoma's system wasn't in place long before Bradford, and in fact it may have coincided with his arrival. Maybe I'll look this up later. Either way, those two ratios speak volumes.

    Except when he doesn't.

    What is Landry Jones record in road games? Anybody?

    You're looking at one statistic alone. Favre is the all time leaders in interceptions thrown in the NFL. Does that make him a terrible quarterback? I'm not even saying Jones is the best quarterback in the land, but he doesn't suck.

    Favre didn't play in OU's system. Let's not get sidetracked.
